Inside Russell Brand's chaotic personal life: The comedian has been married twice!  

A comedian, actor, and presenter, Russell Brand- a tall, dandy, and gypsy-handsome star, is also known for things other than his looks, and successful career. While being quick-witted and prancing about one's feats are somewhat prerequisites for being a decent comedian, one gets to decide whether to keep their personal life out of the spotlight, but not Russell, who continues to attract many stares into his private life.  

Born Russell Edward Brand on June 4, 1975, in Grays, Essex, he is most notably recognized former host of Big Brother's Big Mouth, his stellar stand-up career, a slew of roles, including in Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Get Him to the Greek, and well, his notorious romantic life. As of this writing, the Brit is married to his second wife and is a father of two.

At this point, we are thinking It's either Russell's fondness for controversy or the other around. Brand is now the latest A-lister facing rape and sexual assault accusations. Even though the comedian has refuted the claims made by his four alleged victims, fans have all the reasons to believe otherwise.   

Brand's list of scandals and misdemeanors starts with his early drug addiction amid a fast-rising career. His short-lived marriage with singer Katy Perry could be counted as another unsavory episode of the comedian. Russell was already a flamboyant mainstream persona when he met a young but successful Katy Perry in 2009.  

But before the world could witness the pair traipsing into their relationship step-by-step, Russell and Perry's romance turned whirlwind. Three months into their dating bliss, Brand and the Roar crooner were already engaged, and planning their dream wedding in India, the same where Russell popped the question while they were on a vacation.     

The comedian has been accused of rape, sexual assault, and emotional abuse! 

Russell and Perry got married in a Hindu ceremony on October 23, 2010, at a luxury resort in Ranthambore Tiger Sanctuary in Rajasthan, India. It probably was a sight to behold for the handful of attendees as the couple, then endorsing themselves as devoted worshippers of Lord Ganesha went full-fledged with their Hindu wedding.   

Should the couple have given more thought to their connection instead of executing the perfect exotic wedding, maybe their marriage could've lasted or never happened in the first place. But, anyway, Brand and Katy's nuptial came crashing down after a mere fourteen months, and that's not even the worst part. The comedian allegedly broke the news to Katy via text, ouch, right?   

The infamous moment was even documented in the 2012 documentary, Katy Perry: Part of Me. The estranged pair had nothing but love and nice things to say about each other after the divorce, although, Perry did hint at Russell's misogynistic tendencies being a factor in their separation.  

"She's an amazing person. It was kind of incredible to live for a moment in that eye of the cyclone type aspect of fame," the comedian said about his brief, albeit high-profile relationship with the singer, who reciprocated the feeling by saying, "He's a very smart man, and I was in love with him when I married him."  

Perry has since been dating actor Orlando Bloom, with whom she shares a daughter, and as for the comedian-turned-actor, he is married to his second wife and a father of two daughters. Russell's dating history also includes Geri Halliwell and Jemima Goldsmith.  

Who is Russell Brand Married to?  

After a high-profile marriage with Perry and a topsy-turvy dating career, Russell seemingly decided that he was more of a private family man material. The Forgetting Sarah Marshall actor has been enjoying a low-key conjugal life with his second wife, Lauren Brand (née Gallacher) since 2017.   

Although their relationship started and blossomed into a nuptial way after Brand's divorce from Katy, Russell and Lauren's history preceded his "chaotic" time with Perry. The couple dated briefly before the comedian crossed paths with the singer. Simply put, it was just a matter of the right person at the right time when the exes reunited years later.  

They started dating in 2015 and although it was an on-and-off thing for a while, it didn't take them long to realize that they were in for a long haul. The comedian and Lauren exchanged their vows in an intimate ceremony in August 2017. The pair welcomed their first kid, Mabel, in November 2016, and Peggy, in July 2018.   

Reflecting on his fatherhood journey, the comedian said, "A lot of the clichés have been really true. It's really joyful and exhausting. I now have no doubt what the most important things are." Russell's unobtrusive wife, Lauren, 36, is an author. Boasting a prominent background, Lauren is the daughter of Scottish golfer Bernard Gallacher.  

Amid some serious allegations against the comedian and hence, a disgraceful moment for his family, the doting parents of two are gearing up to celebrate another milestone as they are expecting a third baby.
