Late American actress and director, Sondra Locke were one of the much-loved movie personalities who has millions of fans from all over the world. She was widely recognized for her performance in the 1968 movie, "The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter."
Sondra Locke was born on May 28, 1944, in Madison County, Alabama, New York, to Pauline Bayne and Raymond Smith. Her birth name was Sandra Louise Smith, and she belonged to white ethnicity.
Marital life With Gordon Leigh Anderson
The actress was a married woman; she exchanged her wedding vows with Gordon Leigh Anderson on September 25, 1967. The couple stayed happily for more than two decades until Locke started facing issues with her partner.
Sondra mentioned in the court papers that it was never a perfect relationship either physically or emotionally. She also cited her husband as a gay man who stated, "he was more like a sister to me."

Locke's Past Relationship
The actress had brief relationships prior to marrying to Gordon. In 1960, she dated her co-worker from WSM-Channel Tom Grissom, but the relationship couldn't last long, and they broke up.
Later, Sondra was rumored to having affairs with several co-stars such as Bo Hopkins, Bruce Davison, Paul Sand, John F. Kennedy, Robert Shriver, and Hawk Koch, but none of them survived for long.
Extra-Marital Affair
Locke was in a living relationship with Clint Eastwood while she was in a marital relationship with her husband, Anderson. The former couple first met in 1972 during the shoot of the film The Outlaw Josey Wales.
Before her affair with Clint, she had two abortions, and during an interview, she said,
'' I'd feel sorry for any child that had me for a mother.''
After her second abortion had a tubal ligation and cited in her biography that her choice to have the procedure was because of Eastwood's behaviors, which were not suitable for their lifestyle.
Clint, moreover, was a father to two children with his relationship with another woman. Later in 1989, Sondra filed a suit against Clint when he replaced another lock on their Bel-Air mansion, and she had to stay in the storage.
After twelve months of battle, Sondra and Clint dropped down to a settlement where Clint would set up a movie directing/developing pact for Sondra at Warner Bros. Locke, however, again filed a suit against Eastwood for fraud in 1955, citing that the deal with the Warner Bros was fake. Additionally, Sondra file another lawsuit against the Warner Bros, for conspiring with her spouse to ruin her directorial career.
Dated Doctor During The Treatment
After a year of separation with Clint, Sondra was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1990 and to undergo chemotherapy and a double mastectomy. During her treatment, she met Dr. Scott Cunneen, who was 17 years junior to her and eventually started dating.
The couple moved together in 1991 just after a year of dating. However, soon, they started facing complications in their love life and secretly broken up.
Death
Sondra Locke died at the age of 74 on November 3, 2018. The main reason of her sudden demise was cardiac arrest related to metastatic breast cancer, which traveled to her bones; however, the actual cause was hidden until December 14, 2018.
Late Sondra's remains were buried at Pierce Brothers Westwood Village Memorial Park and Mortuary. Later, her ashes were given to her husband.
