Who is Spencer Christian?

Spencer Christian is an American journalist and broadcaster who is currently working for KGO-TV via channel ABC7. He is also known by the name E. Spencer Christian Jr. Moreover, he is also famous for writing children books.

Spencer was born on 23rd July 1947, in New Port, Virginia. There is not much information regarding his parents and siblings. Born to his American parents, Christian is of Afro American ethnicity and holds American nationality. 

In order to become a journalist, Spencer received his B.A. English in Journalism from the Hampton University.

Spencer started his journalism career as a news reporter at WWBT news. During the time, he began covering events regarding politics, landmark cases in the U.S., and the public school system. In the year 1975, he started working as a weatherman for WBAL-TV and gained huge attention among the viewers. 

In a short period of time, Spencer gained a huge number of fan followers because of his appearances in various charitable events and communities, and for his incredible humor. 

Later, Christian shifted to New York to grab bigger opportunities and he began working for WABC-TV as a news reporter, sportscaster, and weatherman for the eyewitness news. There he worked for almost a decade from 1977 to 1986. He is mostly recognized for his appearance on the show Good Morning America as a weatherman. 

Additionally, Spencer has also hosted in various shows like Black Entertainment Television's game show Triple Threat. Again he moved to San Francisco, California, before working for KGO-TV and hosted shows for HGTV Spencer Christian's Wine Cellar from 1995 to 1999.

Since 1999, Christian is serving for KGO-TV and he is seen hosting shows like The View from the Bay and Tracks Ahead.

Christian is a married man. He is in a marital relationship with his long-term wife Lynette Courtney since 2007. And still, the couple is happy and has a strong bond between them. The pair also shares two children together, daughter Jessica Christian and a son named Jason Christian. 

Prior to his marriage with Lynette, Christian was previously married to Diane Chambers. The couple got married in 1970. They lived together as husband and wife for thirty years and decided to live separately. As the couple divorced, the reason behind in still a mystery.
