He is lovingly referred to by various monikers, including Mr. Entertainment, Mr. Las Vegas, and The Midnight Idol, all of which allude to his distinctive showmanship.  

Born on April 3, 1942, in Roanoke, Norfolk, Virginia, Wayne showed immense penchant for music at a young age. By age six, he was already serenading to various audiences, a prolonged feat that would soon land Wayne on local television and later catapult him to become a nationwide sensation.

Newton met McCrone, a successful civil and criminal litigation lawyer, during one of countless Las Vegas performances in 1991. Despite their significant outward differences, which include the duo's big age difference- Wayne was in his late 40s, and McCrone was in her 20s when they met the pair shared a connection on a deeper level.  

The duo started dating eventually and two years later, in April 1994, they walked down the aisle at Newton's former lavish Casa de Shenandoah estate in Nevada. The loved-up couple's wedding ceremony was the event of the year, as the two spent millions on the special day, and even had their 200 guests escorted to the venue by horse-drawn carriage.    

The enduring couple, neither boastful nor reticent of their successful marriage, has constantly maintained a stable ground in the public eye, an approach that has given fans just enough access to their personal life. What makes the pair a perfect match is their unwavering support for each other and their ability to withstand adversities.  

Throughout their marriage, Newton and McCrone have faced various challenges, including health issues, financial woes, legal troubles, and more. The couple, like the power team they are, have always come out of the bumps stronger than ever.   

They navigated an IRW lawsuit that accused them of owing over a million in taxes and penalties. In 2020, the couple thwarted another legal tide against a former business partner. Since their beautiful nuptial in 1994, Wayne and Kathleen have welcomed one daughter, Elaine.  

In addition, the two are also parents to Wayne's older daughter, Erin, from his first marriage. In 2009, the duo had the scare of a lifetime when their older daughter slipped into a two-week-long coma following a pregnancy complication.

Wayne Newton has only been linked with two women in his life. Before McCrone, with whom he is living a relatively low-key marriage, Newton was married to Elaine Okamura, his love in the spotlight. The Las Vegas entertainer met Okamura, an alluring Japanese-American model and beauty queen, amidst the glamorous ambiance in Las Vegas, in 1968.   

It didn't take Newton, who was at the height of his career, to fall for the exotic beauty, and so, began the tale of their whirlwind romance. As per the sources, the duo's connection was instant, and in no time, they were head over heels for each other. The two escalated so fast in their romance that within a year of meeting each other, they were engaged, and gearing up for their hasty wedding.  

Wayne and Okamura walked down the aisle in an exorbitant ceremony on June 1, 1968, at the iconic Little Church of the West, in Las Vegas. For seven years, the two had what everyone assumed was a happy marriage but unbeknownst to the world, the spouses were tackling challenges of their own. 

As per insiders, Newton's demanding career, and his jam-packed schedule were straining his home life, and after the birth of their daughter Erin in 1976, the differences only became more apparent. The couple's marriage failed to withstand the test of time and marital woes, and in 1985, Newton and Okamura finalized their divorce.
