Singer-songwriter Demi Lovato perhaps best represents the side of fame in the modern age. Demi has spent her almost entire life in front of the spotlight and the world still can't seem to fathom how once the sweet, wide-eyed Lovato is now counted amongst the troubled Hollywood stars.  

Born on August 20, 1992, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Demi got her breakthrough early, playing Mitchie Torres on Disney's film Camp Rock. By late 2000s, Lovato had a full-fledged career in both acting and music, and a dating record that constantly put her under the intense media scrutiny.

During her years of innocence and onset of self-discovery, Lovato experienced some puppy love that didn't last long, but probably had a lasting effect on her future dating preferences. The Camp Rock actress's first-ever celebrity boyfriend was actor Cody Linley, a fellow Disney alum who starred in Hannah Montana.   

Following her short-lived romance with Linley, the Heart Attack crooner was linked with singer Alex DeLeon the same year in 2008. Although it was a low-profile relationship, the two reportedly dated for a year. Demi's hitmaker, Catch Me, is supposedly about her relationship with DeLeon.  

Demi's early dating history also includes Miley Cyrus's musician brother, Trace Cyrus. The pair had it going good for a few months before, as per sources, their four years of age difference got in between their romance.   

Next comes the most famous romance of her teenage years; Lovato dated her Camp Rock co-star, Joe Jonas, in 2010. The two had maintained a good friendship after working on Camp Rock in 2007, but the Camp Rock 2 was a game changer in their relationship. Despite the intense buzz around their romance, the two called it quits after three months.

Just like how Demi's career has transcended various realm of the industry over the years, her love life has also taken its twist and turns. The This is Me crooner had her first serious and long relationship with That '70s Show star Wilmer Valderrama.   

The two shared an age gap of 13 years, and yet, the two dated on-and-off until their final breakup in 2016. When Demi's struggled with her addiction battle, Valderrama was there as her rock. "We connect on a level that I've never connected with anybody," Lovato said while describing her bond with the actor.  

"This was an incredibly difficult decision for both of us, but we have realized more than anything that we are better as best friends," the pair's statement read in 2016. The two seemingly parted on an amicable note and continues to be there for each other.  

When Lovato was rushed to hospital following a relapse in 2018, the NCIS actor reportedly visited her in private. Demi's ex has since gotten engaged to Amanda Pacheco, with whom he also shares a kid.  

Demi Lovato's Love Life Since Coming Out as non-binary!  

Lovato, who has taken a keen interest in philanthropy and activism, specifically for LGBT people, has also been unabashed in addressing her sexuality. The actress-turned-pop sensation came out pansexual, meaning sexuality fluid in March 2021.   

"I'm very fluid," said the singer, adding, "I think love is love. You can find it in any gender. I like the freedom of being able to flirt with whoever I want." Demi later announced her gender identity to be non-binary and said she uses both "she/her, and they/them" pronouns.  

In her docuseries, Dancing with the Devil, the Camp Rock alum described herself as "too queer" to ever marry a man, and yet, the singer has only ever been involved with men. Demi was briefly engaged to actor Max Ehrich in 2020.  

Demi Lovato Gears up to Walk Down the Aisle!  

Demi's day is finally coming. The Grammy-nominated singer announced her engagement to Jordan "Jutes" Lutes in December 2023; sources say the loved-up pair are now gearing up for their wedding day. The Cool for the Summer hitmaker gave an update on her upcoming big day.   

Lovato said she has a "clear vision" for her wedding dress. "I've been thinking about it and saving them to my Pinterest profile," gushed the soon-to-be bride, adding, "I'm excited. I'm in the stages of planning and very excited about it."  

Lovato and Jordan, who is an independent musician, started publicly dating in August 2022. Although not as famed as his Grammy-nominated fiancé, Lutes is credited for co-writing some of Demi's hitmakers, including Happy Ending, Substances, Holy Fvck, and City of Angels.
