Who is Jim Jefferies' Wife? Exploring Their Love and Partnership

Jim Jefferies's long-standing comedy career has garnered him a legion of fans across the world. Acclaimed for creating and starring in FX's Legit, Jefferies irreverent stand-up has cemented a solid place in the industry. Besides being a stellar comedian and writer, Jefferies is also a budding actor. 

Born Geoff James Nugent in February 1977, in Sydney, New South Wales, he took the professional moniker early in his stand-up career. Jefferies gradually succeeded in his endeavor after the release of his HBO special, I Swear to God in 2009. The Australia-born comedian has since performed extensively and cemented a controversial and candid style.

Just recently, the Australian native hits the headline again after booking a spot to perform at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center in a few months. The Legit actor is a happily married man, but he rarely puts his conjugal bliss into words. Jefferies is married to English actress Tasie Lawrence, and it wouldn't be wrong of us to assume that the spouses are still basking in the rapture of their relatively new marriage. The couple got married during a turbulent time in 2020.  

Given Jefferies' unabashed and candid disposition, fans had probably expected Jim to be more open and honest about his love life. But much to their surprise, the revelation has mostly come from Lawrence. It's not clear when exactly did the two started dating but the couple's relationship seemingly took a serious turn in 2019, as Lawrence made it Instagram official.  

Jefferies and his stunning lady love made their red-carpet debut at the premiere of Dolemite is My Name in 2020, and fast forward to September, the loved-up twosome found themselves walking down the aisle and exchanging holy vows in an intimate ceremony. It was again Lawrence who announced their new relationship status. Posting a few snippets of the day, the English actress wrote, "Best friend."  

Jefferies has gushes about his wife in a few interviews. The Legit fame credited his wife for changing him for the better in a 2021 interview. The stand-up comedian said, "My wife is into meditation, and I'm just getting into it. I would like to get more into it."

She might be better known as the wife of the Australian comedian, but Tasie's budding career makes her a star in her own right. Her best work so far includes Nickelodeon's TV show House of Anubis, which ran successfully from 2011 to 2013, Brothers in Atlanta, The Tower, and The Resident.   

Before venturing into acting, Lawrence was a singer-in-making and was a member of the rock band, Woos Woos. Lawrence, with her acting career and singing flair, is surely a double threat, and since 2021, the House of Anubis alum has also taken onto the role of a doting mother as she and Jim welcomed a son, Charlie Jefferies, in 2021.  

Lawrence first announced her pregnancy in April 2021 and documented her journey for the fans. The singer-turned-actress has frequently make posts on her son's development through months and years, and also doesn't shy away from talking on motherhood. Lawrence has also kept a good relationship with Jim's ex, Kate Luyben, and his son with her.

Jefferies's fans probably recall Kate Luyben from Legit, in which she played a prostitute, but sources reveal that the couple go way back. As per insiders, Jefferies and Kate fell in love and had a whirlwind romance in 2011.   

The pair reportedly rushed into live-in relationship and by November 2012, they had become parents to their firstborn, Hank. The duo's relationship fizzled out as fast it had started, hence, once again proving that hasty things never generate a lasting result. However, there isn't even an ounce of doubt in the fact that Jefferies and Luyben have split ways in a good term. 

The long-estranged couple, in fact, are raising their son in a warm and blended household. During his appearance in The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, the Australia-born comedian spoke proudly about how his wife Lawrence and Kate's boyfriend were like a parent figure to his son Hank.
