The artist who gained fame after her YouTube video, The Power of Makeup in 2015, shares very personal messages to her fans this Monday, posting a 17-minute video titled "I'm Coming Out." Check it out:
The beauty YouTuber, with over 12.4 million subscribers who inspired millions of followers and subscribers to date. But today she bravely told her true based story with one identity, with one human being or without any labels, without any restitution on her Youtube channel and finally became a true icon. She says in the video:
"Today I am here to share something with you that I've always wanted to share with you one day, but under my own circumstances, and it looks like that chance has been taken away from me," "So today, I am taking back my own power and I have to tell you something."
Yes, It's time to let go and to be truly free.
The 25-year-old artist acknowledged that she was born in the wrong body when she was younger, which means she is a transgender person. Happily, Nikkie's mother has always been an inspiration since the first day and has always been an acceptor and supporter of who Nikkie de is. Even before de Jager was born, her mother realized she'd have a little girl.
She continued saying: "I am NikkieTutorials, and I am Nikkie. I am me. We don't need labels. But if we are going to put a label on it, yes, I am transgender. But at the end of the day, I am me, and at the end of the day, you are you."
The American vlogger grew her hair out during the early days and only wore girl's clothes in school at the age of 6 or 7. She was taking hormones and growth-stoppers by the age of 14, and at the age of 19, she was absolutely transitioned.
The makeup artist explained, she wants to inspire now little Nikkie's around the world who feel insecure, who feel out of place, who feel misunderstood. She also really wanted to live our lives as we wished and the way we deserve.
The Dutch star even thanked her friends, including her family, fiance Dylan, and fellow YouTubers' beauty. She also thanked her fan and hoped everyone would see her the same Nikkie she's always been.
The Witty personality also admitted that she is still Nikkie, nothing changes about that and her love for makeup has always been real. At last, she continues saying, "The last thing I want in my life is for you to not trust me anymore, or for you to look at me with different eyes, or look at me in a different manner, or think that I have changed."
