Zara Maria Larsson was born on December 16, 1997, in Solna, Stockholm, Sweden. The birth was complicated by entanglement in the umbilical cord, causing a lack of oxygen, but she recovered well. She grew up with her younger sister Hanna, with whom she shared an early interest in singing. Her parents were supportive of her interests in music early on, and she gained early attention in her childhood for her talent with her voice.

Personal Life and Relationships

Zara Larsson's love life has been the subject of public attention. From 2017 to 2019, she was in a relationship with British model Brian H. Whittaker, which was often posted online, but they broke up amicably since both were focused on their respective careers. Since 2020, she's been in a serious relationship with Swedish-American professional dancer Lamin Holmén. This has had a good impact on her emotionally and creatively, with Zara openly talking about future marriage and family.

Rise to Fame and Early Career

Zara first gained national attention at 10 years old after winning the Swedish talent show "Talang" (the Swedish Got Talent) in 2008, performing Whitney Houston's "Greatest Love Of All" and impressing the judges and audience. Her win earned her prize money and a debut single release that produced early chart success in Sweden.

Further releases of successful albums included "Poster Girl" in 2021, "Venus" in 2024, and "Midnight Sun" in 2025, and she established her position in contemporary pop and dance music, with a style that combines catchy melodies with empowering lyrics.
