Alina Jenkins Leaves Her Job For Her Family
The Former BBC meteorologist Jenkins joined BBC in 2002. Gradually, she progressed on her job and became the third woman in 41 BBC regional stations to have her own breakfast show.
During her time at the BBC, Jenkins worked alongside another Meteorologist Carol Kirkwood. After working for four years, she left the station to spend more time with her family and help her hubby in expanding his furnishing business. During her resignation, she said,
"For the past four years I've been weather presenter on BBC South Today as well as BBC Radio Solvent and I've had such a lovely time that it's been a really tough decision to leave".
She further added,
"I've been lucky in my job, but I want to spend more time with my son, Max, 6, and my husband David. David is just expanding his business and I want to be able to support him".
As of now, her appearance on the screen is very less. After leaving the show, Jenkins started hosting a show about future presenters' holiday leave.
