Well, actor, Keanu Reeves, and his late girlfriend, Jennifer Syme experienced a similar painful moment, when Jennifer gave birth to Ava Archer Syme-Reeves, who was stillborn. A year later, Jennifer died in a car accident and left Keanu heartbroken.

In 1998, Keanu met his future girlfriend, Jennifer, who was then working as a personal assistant of director, David Lynch. The couple instantly fell in love with each other.

On December 24, 1999, Jennifer gave birth to their stillborn daughter, Ava Archer Syme-Reeves. Stillborn is a fetal death after 20 or 28 weeks of pregnancy, where the baby is born without signs of life.

Keanu and Jennifer were devastated and the grief of losing a child put a huge strain on their relationship. Hence, the couple broke up several weeks later.

Jennifer's death completely changed Keanu

After eight months into her pregnancy, Jennifer had a stillborn child. No wonder she was also left heartbroken. Further, she and Keanu split. Who knew Keanu would lose both his daughter and his girlfriend within sixteen months.

It was April 2, 2001, when Jennifer died after her vehicle collided with three parked cars on Cahuenga Boulevard in Los Angeles. She was 28 years old. It was found out that Syme was being treated for depression at the time.

After the incident, Keanu took some time off filming The Matrix sequels to sought peace and time. The actor once revealed that since then he avoids serious relationships and having kids. That is the reason he has never been married and remained for several years as a single man.

Keanu and Jennifer held their stillborn daughter's memorial. She is buried in  Pierce Brothers Westwood Village Memorial Park & Mortuary, Los Angeles, California.

After Jennifer died, Keanu held the memorial for her. She is buried next to her daughter. Actor Brandon Lee also died at 28 and is buried next to his father, Bruce Lee.
