Ben Shalom Bernanke, aka Ben Bernanke, is an American economist and author who served as a member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve. Not only that, but he was also Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers as well as 14th Chair of the Federal Reserve.

Ben was born on 13 December 1953 in Augusta, Georgia, the USA to a pharmacist, Philip, and a elementary teacher, Edna, and grew up along with his two siblings, Seth, who is a lawyer, and Sharon, who is an administrator at Berklee College of Music. His ethnicity is white, and his nationality is American.

The 67 years old economist, Ben, is happily married to his girlfriend turned wife, Anna Friedmann, who is the daughter of Jewish refugees from Croatia.
