Cassandra's oldest boy was born with a rare abdominal wall defect. He had a congenital issue where he was born with a sac of his liver and intestines hanging outside his body and needed surgery soon.

To date, Maverick has undergone multiple surgeries and outlived his prognosis. He used to be fed through a tube in his stomach.

Cassandra Leppan And Domestic Violence Accusations

Many longtime fans are aware of the dark days in Cassandra and Ray Leppan aka Adam Rose's life. Back in 2016, Adam Rose failed a routine drug test which was actually for his ADHD medication.

However, failing to inform the WWE about taking this medication landed him a suspension. At this time, he was caught behaving aggressively with his wife, Cassandra so much so that she called 911. 

Adam Rose took her phone and later was charged with domestic violence and witness tampering. He was jailed and taken to the sheriff's office. Further, WWE suspended him indefinitely.

Leppan Went To Court To Not Prosecute Her Husband

At the 2016 court hearing for domestic assault on her, Cassandra actually asked for the release of her husband. She was very vocal about the incident and told the judge that there was no injury or bruise.

Fans speculated that the incident was due to the suspension and the ADHD medication. In the end, the judge agreed to lower bail and Adam Rose was home as soon as possible. The judge agreed for Rose to get counseling from his pastor and his church's men's group.

The Shirt Controversy

In 2016, Cassandra's husband was again involved in a controversy after releasing a T-shirt through the Pro Wrestling Tees website. The offending shirt featured the mugshot from his domestic violence arrest.

In a later statement, Ray Leppan stated that it was about facing a low point in his life and that Cassandra was okay with the shirt being released. The T-shirt was later removed from the site.

Religion

Cassandra and her husband Ray Leppan are both Christians. They got married in a Christian ceremony in 2010.

Religion is an important part of their life and they go to church regularly. The couple has regular meetings and support groups in their church.
