Charles Dance

Charles Dance is a famous English actor, screenwriter, and film director. One of Charles' recognizable roles was Tywin Lannister in the HBO's series, 'Game of Thrones.' As of recent, he also played Lord Mountbatten in the web TV series, 'The Crown.'

Charles Dance was born as Walter Charles Dance on October 10, 1946, in Redditch, Worcestershire. He is the son of Walter Dance and his wife, Elanor Marion. His father was an electrical engineer and served in the Second Boer War in South Africa, and his mother was a cook. Charles's father died when he was just three years old. He completed his studies from Leicester College with a Degree in Graphic Design and Photography.

Charles was married for 33 years

The actor first tied his knot in 1970 with Joanna Haythorn. Much about the marriage is not known, but his ex-spouse was a sculptress. While they were husband-wife, Dance used to take Joanna to attend screenings and premieres of his movies.

As Joanna also worked as an artist, they had met while working for the same films during their early twenties. After 33 years of marital solidarity, the couple decided to separate and divorced in 2004.

The formerly married pair raised two children who are in their forties now. Their first child, a son named, Oliver Dance was born in 1974, while their second child, a daughter, Rebecca Dance, was born in 1980. Currently, Charles and his ex-wife are good friends, and also he regularly stays in touch with his kids.

Charles was set to marry a girl 26 years his junior 

After a few months of his divorce, Charles was seen in Barbados with Hilary Heath, ex-wife of Duncan Heath. He then began dating actress Sophia Myles with whom he was in relation for two years. They dated from 2004-2006. During the same time, he had an on-off relationship with the former Gucci model, Shambhala Marthe. Of course, Charles was a handsome man during his peak. The English actor started romancing a model-turned sculptress named Eleanor Boorman in 2008. The duo was set to marry and were planning to settle down in his North London townhouse.
