Cle Bennett is a Canadian actor best known for his character Xavier Reed, The Mayor in Arrow. He is well known for packing two ''Gemini Awards'' in the same year. 

Bennett was the son of a Jamaican couple. And he was born in Toronto, Ontario, on July 13th, 1981. He is also a voice actor well known for his voice-over for Coca-cola and Ford.

Acting Career

Before portraying the superhero Battlestar in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, his work in the Tv series Arrow as the Xavier Reeds, which goes by the alias The Mayor, was best renowned. 

Bennet co-starred with Katie Cassidy, who portrayed Canary, and Kyra Zagorsky, who played Athena for Arrow. He is also one of the few stars in both Marvel and DC. 

In 1996, he started his career with a character named Chooey in a TV show called F/X: The Series. Then he made his more prominent appearance in the Mr.Music movie for television.

From acting as a dorky guy in horror Urban Legend to the Battlestara superhero character adapted from the American comics in The Falcon of the Winter Soldier, and there's no argument that he has shown an excellent level of flexibility as an actor.

Xavier was a character who had been in foster care all his childhood. Eventually, he became a gang leader and went by "The Mayor." He ran the Glades, an area of the Starling City, through the brutal gang rule and the weapons stolen from Camp Kirby's military convoys.

Reeds attacked Sebastian Blood and Sin at the "Cash For Guns" event. Then arrow and Canary struck Reeds along with his foster brother Ezra Barnes, who helped him steal the weapons. Later in the series, Xavier dies because of the "Mirakaru," which his blood brother injected into his body.

Bennett On His Acting Career

Although Bennett has shown his efforts and acting skills by portraying different characters in various genres, he never intended to become an actor. 

But eventually, he came to acknowledge and accept his profession. Previously, he stated that he had gotten into acting without any intention of pursuing it.

“I didn’t really decide to become an actor; it was more me deciding to embrace the fact that I am an actor. Like when I was a kid I used to play a lot, just like every kid, but I took playing make believe seriously and basically what I do right now is just an evolution of that.”
