Susan and Don's Tragic Separation in 2000
After 29 years of unity, Susan and Don were formally divorced in 2000, criticizing some differences. Before their division, Don, though, had quit Eagles for the first time just before 12 months. "I think my wife and I would both be together today if the band hadn't been on the road for 10 to 11 months a year," he said once.
All the memories Don had of himself as a husband and father in a rock band, were all stripped away at the same time. And it was an emotionally stressful time for Felder, 77. The musician Felder proposed McInerney, 48 at sunset on January 19, 2020, during a beach walk in Malibu, California. He gave "a custom-made, five-carat round brilliant cut diamond ring" to his new fiance Diane.
As per People, Don's engagement spot was special as it was so near where he co-wrote the music for the 1976 classic hit Eagles, Hotel California.
