Francine Lymon is the Frankie Lymon's only daughter. Frankie is known as the lead vocalist of the American rock and roll band, The Teenagers. He is the winner of the 1994 Walk of Fame.

Sadly, the Why Do Fool Fall In Love singer died at a young age without reaching his peak in the music industry. Just like Frankie, his daughter too met an untimely end, passing away just two days after her birth.

Francine Lymon's cause of death was said to be natural. She died on January 4, 1964, at Lenox Hill Hospital just two days after her birth just like Brooklynn Rose Thomas. It was quite devastating for her parents Frankie Lymon and Elizabeth Mickey Waters.

Francine Lymon's Father Died At The Age Of 25

Not only Francine Lymon, but her famous father Frankie Lymon also did not get to live life longer. The American singer was just 25 years old when he passed away.

Four years after Francine's death, her father met his demise due to a heroin overdose. Frankie was found on the floor of his grandmother's bathroom with a syringe by his side. 

Lymon was buried at Saint Raymond cemetery in the Bronx, New York. The 1998 movie Why Do Fools Fall in Love recounted her father's life, featuring Larenz Tate and Vivica A. Fox portrays her parents.

Francine Lymon's Parents Marriage Was Illegal

Although Francine Lymon's parents were married at the time of her birth, their marriage was not legal. Frankie Lymon and Elizabeth Mickey Waters got married in January 1964, the same month she was born.

However, Elizabeth was still married to her first husband. Their divorce was finalized only in 1965, i.e. a year after Francine's birth. 

Frankie Lymon's Other Marriages

Francine Lymon's parents' married life was short-lived and the pair ended their marriage. Following that Why Do Fools Fall in Love singer married Zola Taylor which also ended in several months due to Frankie's drug problem.

Following that, Frankie fell in love with a schoolteacher Emira Eagle. She used to teach at Hornsby Elementary in Augusta. The two tied the knot in 1967. In his final moments, the American singer was Eagle's husband.

Francine Lymon's father, Frankie Lymon was estimated to have a net worth of $1.5 Million at the time of death which is similar to Amber Brkich's net worth. Following his death, Frankie's three wives started to claim over his estate.

Lymon officially did not divorce any of his wives. Zola Taylor, Elizabeth Waters, and Emira Eagle individually contested Morris Levy, the music impresario who controlled Lymon's copyrights and earnings, asserting their status as the true widows of Lymon.

There were several court cases for claiming Lymon's estates. Initially, it was in favor of Elizabeth Waters but later with the Eagle's appeal, Emira became the rightful owner of Francine's father's estate.

Some of Frankie's songs are I Promise to Remember, The ABCs of Love, I'm Not a Juvenile Delinquent, and so on. For his contribution to the music, Francine's father was inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Speaking of Francine's grandparents, her grandmother Jeanette Lymon was a maid. On the other hand, her grandfather Howard Lymon was a truck driver

However, the couple used to be a gospel singer. Francine's grandparents were both in a gospel group, Harlemaires.

Frankie Lymon Was Drafted Into The United States Army

Did you know Frankie Lymon was drafted into the United States Army after he was arrested on a heroin charge? Yes, the American singer was not jailed but was obliged to serve the nation as an army.

Lymon reported to Fort Gordon, Georgia for training. He was later dishonorably discharged from the army and soon continued his musical journey.

Roulette Recordings thought of releasing Lymon's records in conjunction with the Big Apple. They had scheduled a recording session for February 28, 1968. To celebrate success Frankie once again used heroin, two years later which ultimately led to his demise.
