Who is Grace VanderWaal?

Grace VanderWaal is an American singer and ukelele player, well known as the 11th season winner of America's Got Talent, the same platform where Juliet Evancho and Anna Silva also got their prominence. She was also named as the next Taylor Swift by Simon Cowell.

VanderWaal was born on 15th January 2004, in Kansas, the United States of America. She is of Dutch ethnicity and holds American nationality. Her parents, father, Dave VanderWaal and mother Tina VanderWaal were Americans. Further, Grace also has a brother named Jakob and a sister Olivia.

Regarding her education, Grace has home-schooled and learned online courses until grade seven. However, she began attending public school from 8th and 9th grades. 

VanderWaal began singing and writing at the age of three, as she got full support from her parents. In 2016, Grace participated in the AGT and auditioned with her unique composition ''I Dont Know My Name''. 

She got golden buzzer from the judge Howie Mandel. Moreover, VanderWaal was also named as the next Taylor Swift by Simon Cowell. Additionally, she also performer Delightful Thing, which was dedicated to her sister. Grace received a bouquet of flowers from Taylor Swift after winning the competition.

After AGT, VanderWaal gained huge fame, she also appeared at the 2017 Special Olympics World Winter Games in Austria, with another singer Jason Mraz. The same year in April, Grace performed at We Day charity events in Los Angeles, and Washington.
