Ilia Kulik, 48 years old, is a divorced man. Previously, he was in a marital relationship with his ex-wife, Ekaterina Gordeeva. She is also a former ice figure skater.

Illia and Gordeeva made their relationship public in the year 1999. Two years later, they tied the wedding knot on 10 June 2002 in San Francisco. So, they have dated each other for nearly three years before marrying. 

Before their nuptials, they welcomed a child, a daughter, Elizaveta Ilinichna Kulik, on June 15, 2001. Unfortunately, after 14 years of conjugal relationship, they had divorced in 2016. Together, the entire family used to live in Newport Beach, California.

Olympic men's champion, Kulik is a stepdad of Daria Sergeyevna Gordeeva-Grinkova from Ekatarina's past marriage. She was once in a marital relationship with her late husband, Sergei Grinkov. He was also a professional skater.

The duo first met through their coaches at their skating in 1982 when she was just 11. Suddenly their friendship turned into a relationship. Finally, the couple tied the knot on April 20, 1991, in a private ceremony. 

Also, Sergei and Ekatarina had spiritual matrimony on 28th April in the Russian Orthodox Church. After a year, they welcomed a daughter, Daria on 11 September 1992 in Morristown, New Jersey. She now quit skating in 2007 to pursue another profession.

Sorrowfully, Sergei died from a massive heart attack on 20 November 1995 while the couple were practicing for Ice tour in Lake Placid, New York. He was 28. While Gordeeva was 24 years old, and their baby girl Daria was just three.
