Colin Jost is married to actress Scarlett Johansson: Everything to know here!  

He may not be counted among the top comedians, but Colin Jost is a prominent of them regardless. The critically acclaimed comedian has been serving as one of the writers for Saturday Night Live since 2005. Jost has been showcasing his witty side on SNL's satirical news program, Weekend Updates, since 2014. 

Aside from his primary profession as a comedian, Jost has also been carving a profile in acting. His film credits include Staten Island Summer, Coming 2 America, and How to be Single. Despite his string of professional feats aside, the New York-born comedian is, however, better known for his high-profile marriage with Scarlett Johansson.

Jost's love life rarely was a topic for gossip tabloids before he got his name associated with Johansson. Not only was Colin's romantic life a well-kept secret, but also very finite. Unlike his fellow peers in the business, Colin's dating history doesn't unveil a slew of women.   

Before Scarlett, Jost's public relationship only includes Rashida Jones. While there's no way to know what ensued between Colin and Jones' relationship, on the surface, the two appeared like a perfect couple. Both Colin and Jones are Harvard alums and reputed comedians, and writers.  

The low-key couple first sparked dating rumors in 2013. Jost and Rashida were snapped arm-in-arm, which fueled swirling rumors for weeks. A source later confirmed the comedians' budding romance. "Rashida is into him. She likes that he's funny," a source said.   

But the duo's romance seemingly didn't move to a serious stage. Both Colin and Rashida never once made it official, let alone gushing about each other like a couple in love. Sources alleged that the two were together until 2016.

Since being linked with the Oscar-nominated actress in 2017, Jost's personal life has been nothing but a go-to tabloid story. The comedian and the actress were first linked romantically in 2017. Although, Colin and Scarlett had known each other for years.   

Johansson made a special guest appearance on SNL's season finale in May 2017 and was later spotted making out with Jost at the after-party. The duo didn't let the rumors go on for very long and soon confirmed their romance. "It's hard to have a lot of complaints, she's pretty awesome," the SNL writer said at the start of their relationship.  

The two years up to their sweet engagement announced in May 2019 saw the couple making many gushy memories, including Johansson's surprise appearance, and a little PDA moment with Jost on SNL, in December 2017. The couple's betrothal news made headlines in May 2019 amid the Oscar-nominated actress flaunting her 11-carat engagement ring.   

After a year of engagement, Colin and the Jojo Rabbit actress walked down the aisle on Oct. 29, 2020. Given the grim pandemic situation at the time, the comedian and actress duo kept their nuptials intimate, and low-profile. The happily married pair were blessed with their firstborn, in August 2021.  

Jost's famous wife, Johansson, 38, is one of the highest-paid actress in the world. She is most notably known for her splendid performance in Lucy, Lost in Translation, Black Widow, and Marriage Story. The actress was married to Ryan Reynolds from 2008 to 2011, and to Romain Dauriac, from 2014 to 2017.

The SNL fame and his wife kept their pregnancy news under the radar for a while. The duo's baby arrival in August 2021 didn't involve much noise either. But after unceasing speculations from fans about the baby's gender and name, the comedian gave in and revealed a sliver of information.   

"Ok, ok, we had a baby, and his name is Cosmo," Jost wrote on his Instagram story. During an appearance on Late Night with Seth Mayers, the Staten Island Summer actor revealed that his mother initially didn't approve of his baby's unusual name.  

The Lucy actress later revealed that the couple had just thrown letters together to come up with that name. "It just seemed like a refreshing — I just thought it was so charming," said Johansson. While it's a first fatherhood experience for the SNL comedian, Johansson holds a little more experience in the area.

Jost's wife, Scarlett, shares a 9-year-old daughter Rose with her second ex-husband, Dauriac. The How to Be Single star and the Black Widow actress have together formed a beautiful blended family. An insider revealed how Colin had won Scarlett's daughter's heart and played the perfect stepdad.  

The couple continues to keep their kids out of the public's eye, but sharing a thing or two about the blissful journey isn't a problem. Quipping on his parental instinct and some irrational fears, the comedian said, "I think when you have a decent imagination, it's worse. You don't have rational fears, you have creative fears."
