Jean Smart

Jean Smart is Marlene Deitrich from the biographical play Piaf Broadway in 1981. The American actress afterwards became famous as a theater artist in the Pacific Northwest. 

Jean was born on 13th September 1951 in Seattle, Washington, United States of America, where another actress Kasey Walker was also born. Born to her American parents, Douglas Alexander Smart and Kathleen Marie Kay, she is of White ethnicity and holds an American nationality. 

Married to Richard Gilliland

The famous actress is living happily in her marital life. Smart exchanged her wedding vows with Richard Gilliland in 1987, and the wedding invitation was provided to their family members and closed ones.

Jean and Gilliland first met around in 1983 while they were on the set of Designing Women. Smart and her husband share two children from their marital relationship, a son named Connor Douglas (born in 1989) and a daughter, Bonnie Kathleen.

Not to mention, Jean's daughter Bonnie Kathleen was adopted from China in May 2009. Besides, Jean is fond of cooking and baking. She used to make cookies and cakes for her cast members and friends.

In 1985, Smart made her appearance in one of the most famous comedy series Designing Women as Charlene Frazier Stillfield. She played in the sitcom from 1986 till it's the fifth season.
