The director of The Slanted Screen died on February 22, 2019, in San Francisco, California, US, at the age of 60. Regarding the information stated by The San Francisco medical examiner, Christopher Wirowek, who weight up just before three weeks of his death, reported his death as a heart attack and not from alcohol or overdose of drugs.

However, before his death, he was facing a breathing problem that led his way to death.
