Later, they expressed their love and began dating. In the mid-1996s, Alex gave a surprise to Woodburne with a marriage proposal. Well, she said 'Yes' to him.

The lovebirds tied the knot in 1996, in London, England. They welcomed most of their friends and close relatives at their wedding ceremony held at The Gibson Hall.

After two years of marriage, the pair welcomed their first child, Cameron Ferns in 1999. Again, they announced that they're expecting their second son in 2000. Later, Woodburne gave birth to their second child, Mackenzie Ferns in 2001.
