Who is Jake Tapper?

Tapper was born on 12th March 1969, in New York City, the United States of America, where another journalist Yasmin Vossoughian was also born. Grew up with his American father Theodore S., and mother Helen Anne Tapper, Jake is of Mixed ethnicity (Ashkenazi Jewish, Northern Irish, French and German descent) and holds American nationality. 

He grew up in Queen Village, where Tapper's father was a professor at Jefferson Medical College, and his mother was a retired psychiatric nurse. 

Jake also has a brother named Aaron J. Hahn Tapper. Regarding his studies, Tapper joined Akiba Hebrew Academy based in Merion, Pennsylvania. 

Later, he graduated with Bachelors in history modified by visual studies via Dartmouth College. Furthermore, Tapper attended the University of Southern California School of Cinema-Television. 

Jake began his journalism career as a full-time senior writer at Washington City Paper. Before that he worked as a Campaign Press Secretary for Democratic congressional candidate Majorie Margolies-Mezvinsky.

Jake also received the Society of Professional Journalists award for his credits at Washinton City Paper. Later, Tapper served as a host for CNN's talk show Take Five in 2001. 

Later in 2003, he worked for ABC News and covered a wide range of events and stories which includes hurricane, Katrina.

After the 2008 Presidential election, Jake became the Senior White House Correspondent on 5th November. During the time, Tapper interviewed, ex-president of U.S.A. Barrack Obama many times.

On 20th December 2012, it was announced that Tapper would join CNN anchoring and work as the network's chief Washington correspondent.

“I saw her and I walked up to her and we went out the next day in D.C. and that was it.”

Since the marriage, Jake and his spouse share two children, a daughter Alice Paul Tapper (11 years old), and a son Jack Tapper (9 years old).
