Jerry Hodak is a former American Chief Meteorologist. He is well known for his appearance on ABC's WXYZ-TV, as a meteorologist. He is also known for his appearance on WJBK-TV Channel 2, where he worked for twelve years.
The talented and skilled meteorologist was born on 11 April 1942 in Michigan. Being born to American parents, Hodak is of White ethnicity and holds an American nationality. Therefore, no information is available regarding his parents and family background.
A Detroit origin, Jerry always had a passion for a journalist. In order to pursue his career, Hodak joined Guardian Angels Elementary School followed by Denby High School. Later, she studied mass communication via Wayne State University in Detroit.
After completing her education, Jerry shifted to Orlando. She joined WDBO-TV and began working as a news reporter. However, in 1965, she returned to Detroit and served as a weathercaster for the channel WJBK-TV.

Moreover, in 1977, Jerry began working for WXYZ-TV as Science Editor and weathercaster. Again, Hodak returned to WJBK and worked for three years and a half years.
In his whole career, Jerry has also received few awards for his outstanding performance as a weathercaster and meteorologist. Some of them include a local Emmy Award, the television Seal of Approval via American Meteorologist Society. Additionally, his name was also listed in the Michigan Journalism Hall of Fame.
After working for more than forty years, Jerry retired from his career and left WXYZ-TV on 23rd September 2010.
