Justin was born as Justin Paul Jeffre on 25th January 1973 in Mount Clemens, Michigan. Born to his American parents, Dan Jeffre and Sue Jeffre, he is of White ethnicity and holds American nationality. He grew up along with his brother named Dan Jr. 

Regarding his education, Jeffre attended the School of Creative and Performing Arts in Cincinnati. There he met his future band member Nick Lachey. The duo sang together at SCPA before working as a professional singer.

When the duo teamed up with Jeff Timmons and Drew Lachey and formed a band named 98 Degrees. And after the formation of the group, they signed to Motown Records and began hitting up the charts with first singles like Hardest Thing, Because of You, and Invisible Man.

Moreover, the band got more fame after they credited on in the movie with the song True To Your Heart, collaborating with the legendary singer and musician Stevie Wonder. 

Even though the band was gaining huge fame, 98 Degrees took a break as Jeffre started his focus on politics. In 2005, Justin made his appearance as a mayoral candidate for the city of Cincinnati. However, he did not win the election, but he succeeds in gaining attention to Cincinnati.
