When Kim's husband Bronson's fitness started to decline, he resigned from his acting career and got hip replacement surgery in August 1998. But sadly, he passed away on August 30, 2003, at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

Bronson's death was caused by pneumonia and Alzheimer's disease, as well as "respiratory failure," "metastatic lung cancer," and, secondarily, "chronic obstructive pulmonary disease."
