After 21 years of marriage, Lael mother, Ingrid accidentally died in a car accident on South Western Avenue of Oklahoma City. It was found that a 55 years old, Susannah Donaldson felt unconscious while driving her car, which caused a collision with Ingrid's sport utility vehicle.

Following the untimely demise of Ingrid, Lael's father, Monty held a memorial service at 2 pm afternoon at Crossings community Church on 18th February 2016. At that time of funeral, many friends and colleagues attended the ceremony with heartfelt condolences.
