Laura Kate Trevelyan aka Laura Trevelyan is a famous BBC anchor or correspondent based in New York City. Likewise, she was the United Nations correspondent from May 2006 until 2009 for the BBC channel.

Laura Trevelyan was born on 21 August 1968 as Laura Kate Trevelyan in Islington, London. Further, she is the oldest daughter of three children. She holds British citizenship and belongs to white ethnicity. Concerning her education, she studied at Parliament Hill School in North London and graduated from Bristol University with a first-class degree in Politics. In 1991, Trevelyan gained a postgraduate diploma from the University of Wales College, Cardiff, in Journalism.

In 1991, Trevelyan started her career as a general reporter for the London Newspaper Group. Then she moved to Channel 4 as a researcher on A Week In Politics in 1992. In 1993, she joined BBC working as a researcher for Breakfast News and for Newsnight before as an assistant producer. Moreover, she was a political correspondent for BBC News based in London until her move to the US from 1999 to 2004.

Laura was a BBC correspondent based in New York from 2009 to 2012. After serving three years at BBC's New York correspondent, she started to work in BBC World News America as an anchor/correspondent. She worked along with Katty Kay and Christian Fraser.

In addition, she became a U.S. citizen on November 9th after being sworn, a day Donald Trump became elected as President of America.
