Liane Morejon

Liane Morejon, a Coral Gables native grew up watching WPLG and admiring the various news anchors in the station. Little did she knew a few years later, she would also be one of the members of the amazing team she looked up to. 

Morejon is working at WPLG Local 10 since 2010 in various positions. Currently, she reports at noon, 4 p.m., 5 p.m., and 6 p.m. or on Sundays at 5 pm, 6 pm, and 11 pm.

A career at WPLG and Net Worth

As mentioned above, Liane is working at WPLG Local 10 News for a long time. She joined the station in 2010 as an Intern. A few months later, she was hired as a producer and worked in that position for few years.

From 2012, the black-haired beauty began to appear in front of the camera. She started her on-camera journey as a Traffic Reporter. She anchored morning traffic reports. Since March 2013, she is working as a General Assignment Reporter.

Morejon and her fiance, Fernandez, are proud parents of a daughter named Eva Noelle Fernandez. Their baby girl was born on October 27, 2019, and currently is 18-months-old. The news reporter has not kept away her daughter away from the public. She regularly shares pictures of her baby on her Instagram.

Family & Education

Liane was born on February 6, 1986, in Coral Gables, Florida, in the United States. As of May 2021, she is 35 years old. She is an American citizen with Cuban roots and is fluent in Spanish. 

Her father, Sergio Morejon, is an administrator and a firefighter, and her mother, Juliana Morejon is an authorized Broker-Associate since 1996. She is currently serving in Coconut Grove, Florida, at Brown Harris Stevens.

Liane graduated from the University of Miami with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, a dual major in Broadcast Journalism and theatre arts. She additionally pursued graduate studies at Barry University. 

While at the University of Miami, Morejon won a Society of Professional Journalists award for global assignment reporting. She also anchored Emmy Award-winning weekly newscast “Newsvision” and worked at UM’s theatre department.
