2020 hasn't been exactly the year everyone predicted it to be! With COVID-19 Pandemic killing hundreds of thousands of people all over the world, a couple of celebrities have also left the world in a tragic death.
With Fred Willard passing just a couple of days ago, another celebrity has tragically left us; Director Lynn Shelton who is highly credited for her movies Mad Men, Humpday, and Glow passed away at the age of 54.
According to her publicist, the director suffered from an undisclosed blood disorder which led to her demise. Born on August 27, 1965, in Seattle to her parents Wendy and Alan Roedell, Shelton started her career in the 20s as a Photographer and actor.
French director Claire Denis inspired her to get into film making and her debut movie came in 2006, We Go Way Back. Besides being a director, she is also a producer who was in the panel at the Sundance Film Festival in 2013 "How to Make and Sell Your Indie Movie".
Humpday, however, is her breakthrough film which received rave reviews. The movie featured Joshua Leonard, Alycia Delmore, and Mark Duplass. She loves movies and in an interview with The Wrap, Shelton said,
"I am a sucker for the theatrical experience, as I think many, many filmmakers are. I love seeing it in a theater and seeing how it felt with the audience, and the whole audience becomes almost a part of the film. It really sort of is like another character in the film. It's like another part of the experience."
At the time of her death, she was in a relationship with Marc Maron. Marc is an actor who worked with his partner Lynn in the film Sword of Trust. Shelton was previously married to Kevin Seal (2001 to 2019) with whom she has a son Milo Seal.

All the actors, directors, and friends who know her well paid their tributes. Jay Duplass with whom Lynn's worked said, our hearts are broken. Similar to him, other near and dear friends of her also showed their love for Shelton.
