The Columbian singer was just 21 at the time, and now at 29, he has successfully emerged as a reggaeton sensation, having dropped some biggest hits alongside a number of top artists. Born Juan Luis Londoño Arias on January 28, 1994, in Medellin, Antioquia, his passionate inclination toward music began in his early teenage years.  

Like most of his fellow Latin stars, Maluma's journey to fame also began in his homeland. Maluma's growing popularity in his native gradually opened a spot for him on the international stage. The Grammy-nominated star, previously known as Papi Juancho, has since delved into acting, and business.

Maluma has taken a life-changing step early in her skyrocketing career and the singer couldn't be more excited about it. The Grammy-nominated singer, at 29, is gearing up to become a father for the first time. Maluma broke the exciting news via his new music video, Procura, which he launched at his concert in Washington D.C.   

The Chantaje hitmaker is embarking on this new journey with his girlfriend, Susan Gomez, who will also be a first-time parent with the singer. Maluma shares some snippets of him and Gomez treasuring the moment as they fawn at their kid's sonogram. The thrilled soon-to-be father followed the MV launch with an interview, in which he once again confirmed the news.  

"I'm having a baby. Wow, that's crazy," said the 29-year-old. In the interview, Maluma calls becoming a father his long dream. "It's perfect timing. I mean, all the beautiful things that I'm living. I'm looking for more personal experiences," he adds. The blissful revelation doesn't end here.  

The singer and his partner revealed that they are expecting a daughter and they are going to name her Paris. The Hawai hitmaker gushes about how his yet-to-be-born daughter has reset his life, and his mindset in an imaginable way.

Much of Maluma and Susan's love story remains a mystery. It is, however, known that the couple first sparked dating rumors in 2020. Maluma went public with Gomez in a since-deleted post in December 2021.   

The loved-up pair have since kept their relationship largely under the radar but as they set off on a journey of a lifetime, perhaps we'll have relatively more access in the couple's relationship. Maluma may like it low and personal but that hasn't stopped fans more churning some speculations about the duo's romance.  

Earlier this year, fans surmised that Maluma's Spanish hitmaker, Junio, was about his lady love. The song's romantic lyrics alluded to the singer's adoration for Gomez. "The moon hid right when it saw you/Because you shine more than her," the lyrics read.   

Because of the pair's high walls around their love life and their reluctance to unveil anything more than necessary, Maluma's girlfriend, Gomez, also remains an enigmatic personality. As per sources, Gomez is an architect and jewelry designer.

Maluma's romantic history takes us back to a time when the rapper was more forthcoming about his relationships.  

The Chantaje hitmaker was famously linked with singer Anitta in 2016. The former couple, who worked together on Anitta's 2016 single Sim ou Não, and their song, El Que Espera, and its music video, made their steamy romance very apparent, but never actually confirmed anything. It's unclear if the pair's relationship evolved to a significant phase or not, but as per Anitta, they had a brief fling.  

Maluma's first notable public relationship was with American model Natalia Barulich, whom he met on the sets of Felices Los 4 in 2017. Barulich played Maluma's love interest in the music video and it didn't take them long to translate the romance in real life.    

"I'm dating her. She is a very special girl, very pretty. We love each other very much. We are starting a relationship," said a smitten Maluma. The gushy pair even got a matching tattoo in 2018 and adopted a dog together. But before fans could see more of the duo's sweet romance, the two called it quits in 2019.  

Maluma later revealed that their relationship turned toxic after a point. "It means that I was giving 1000% and I was only receiving 20%," the Columbian rapper said, adding, "It was warm, it was cold, I felt I was living for my partner." Following his split from Barulich, Maluma was linked with model Winnie Harlow, and Russian model Vivien Rubin.
