The Bad Boys star, Martin Lawrence is one of the funniest people on the planet. His talents have led him to become, a stand-up comedian, producer, talk show host, writer, and actor. He came to prominence back in the 1990s and has starred in many blockbuster movies throughout his career.

The comedian was born on 16th April 1965 in Frankfurt, Hesse, West Germany. Though he was born in Germany, he currently holds an American nationality. During his teen, he excelled at boxing and was attended by Eleanor Roosevelt High School and Friendly High School.

Engaged with long-time girlfriend

The funnyman Martin is planning to tie a nuptial relationship with his long-time girlfriend, Roberta Moradfar. The duo's ways crossed back in 2015 and have been dating since.

Some of the close friends of the couple have stated that Martin worked for months with Iconic Jewels Beverly Hills to create the custom 5-carat emerald cut engagement ring. 

The funnyman added another carat for just the band alone which has the duo's initial spelled out in diamonds. As of now, the pair have been together for over six years. But they later broke up quietly away from the limelight.

Martin Lawrence is married twice

The star of Hollywood has a very successful career but talking of his personal life he little bit kind of a failure. Lawrence has been married twice before meeting his current fiance. 

At first, he exchanged wedding vows with former Miss Virginia USA, Patricia Southall in 1995, with whom he met back in the summer of 1992. 

The pair have been together for five years, however, they enjoyed only two years of nuptials and later separated in 1997. Currently, Southall is happily married to the former American football star, Emmitt Smith. 

Second marriage with Shamicka Gibbs

Within a month of his divorce, Lawrence met Shamicka Gibbs and they were head over heels in love. Gibbs is a well-renowned chef and TV personality. Interestingly, the duo has been together for thirteen years before getting in nuptials on July 10, 2010. 

Their wedding ceremony was filled by their friends and family as well and some of the Hollywood top personalities like; Denzel Washington, Will Smith, and Eddie Murphy were also seen greeting the couple. 

The beautiful couple shared fifteen years of togetherness while they ended up sharing only two years of nuptials. Due to excessive drinking habits and a lot of weight gain, the couple called it quits in their marital relationship in 2012.

Being in a marital relationship with two women she shares three children with them. One from his first marriage, He and Pat welcomed their daughter together back on 15th January 1996 and named her Jasmine Page Lawrence. 

On the other hand, he has two children from his second marriage. Their first child Iyanna Faith Lawrence was born on 9th November 2000 and their second child, Amara Trinity Lawrence was born on August 20, 2002. 

As of now, the two girls are twenty-years-old and eighteen-years-old respectively. Some of the sources have claimed that all of his children are very close to each other despite being born from different mothers.

Martin is the fourth child of the Lawrence family, who are Americans. His father, John Lawrence used to serve the U.S. military at the time. 

When he was seven years old his father left the Army and his family moved from Germany to the United States by settling in Maryland, Washington, D.C.

Health problems and Legal issues

Lawrence was hospitalized at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on the set of A Thin Line Between Love and Hate. On May 8, 1996, arrested after he raised a pistol in the middle of an intersection on Venture Boulevard in Los Angeles. 

In January 1997, he was charged the alleging sexual harassment and abuse both on and offset by his co-star Tisha Campbell. By April all of his charges were disclosed. The very same year he was arrested after punching a man in a Hollywood nightclub. 

During preparation for Big Momma's House, he nearly died due to his exceeding body temperature. Within a week he was fit and fine for the shoot.

Martin's fiance, Roberta is an Advanced Aesthetics Nurse Practitioner. Though she is not as popular as Lawrence she owns and operates her cosmetic spa, Effaces Aesthetics in Santa Monica. 

She holds a Master's in nursing and a Bachelor's degree in Science from Drexel University and has more than 8 years of expertise in cosmetic medicine. 

Due to her expertise, she has made appearances on shows such as Judge Judy and The Doctors. Claudia Jordan and Tameka Foster are some of the celebrity's clients.
