Matewa Kiritapu is the daughter of acclaimed Thor director Taika Waititi and JoJo Rabbit producer Chelsea Winstanley. Being a child of two prominent figures in the entertainment industry, Kiritapu's name has been in the media since birth.

Matewa Kiritapu played the role of an Asgardian kid in the movie. India Rose Hemsworth, on the other hand, played the role of God Butcher's daughter. Besides acting, the Waititi siblings also helped make some of the monsters in Thor: Love & Thunder.

The movie director Taika revealed that his daughter's drawing inspired the creation of the monsters. He said

 "In some of the kids' [drawings], they were super colorful. So we toned those down. But yeah, that's why the monsters are so weird and look so cool. That's why the monsters look like they were created by kids."
