In 1999, Baer and Roger Camas's business partner spent about one million to purchase 60 slot machines. On May 4, 2007, he purchased 1.0 hectares of land near north Douglas Country for $1.2 million and more land after zoning variances.

Baer's plan covered about 40 thousand square feet with eight hundred slot machines, 16 tables, and a five-story hotel with a cinema complex.

Baer is the brother of James Manny Baer died on July 23, 2009. The late brother of Baer died peacefully at home in Sacramento County, California, USA.

The death of Baer's friend Edsen was only the beginning of his agony. Recently, his former mentor Donna Douglas died at Baton rouge General Hospital due to pancreatic cancer on January 1, 2015. 

Educational Background 

Baer finished high school at Christian Brothers High School in Sacramento. He lettered in four sports and won the Sacramento Open junior golf tournament two years in a row.

While Baer's studies were going on, he also got to play with professional golfer Charles Luther Sifford in 1968 at the Andy Williams pro-am tournament.

Baer started his journey to be a producer with the cancellation of The Beverly Hillbillies in 1971. After the disbanding of the TV sitcom, he discovered mistakes that slow down his acting career.

Realizing the mistakes, Baer forged his own path by concentrating on producing a motion picture film called Macon County Line. He wrote the script with the help of his friend Compton and debuted himself as Deputy Reed Morgan.
