Melika Foroutan is a German-Iranian actress best known for her role as Marija Jeftanovic in the 2014 German-Austrian film, Sarajevo. She is one of the versatile and experienced actresses in Germany who has appeared in over fifty movies and series combined. In 2015 she even won a national award for her role in Begierde-Mord im Ziechen des Zen film.

Forty-five years old, actress, Melika was born in 1976 in Teheran, Iran to working-class parents. However, she later moved to Germany to study and pursue her career in acting. In 2002 she graduated from the University of Arts in Berlin, Germany. Moreover, her first breakout role was in the 2006 drama 'Wut' and in the TV show, KDD - Kriminaldauerdienst as a police officer Silvia Henke.
