Former Republican Party politician, Michael Steele, now shares a healthy and blissful marital relationship with his long term partner, Andrea Steele. She is an American activist who founded the Emerge America in 2002 and the Co-Founded of our first affiliate, Emerges California in 2005. 

Do you know, Michael is a well known American conservative political commentator who worked at Former Lieutenant Governor of Maryland as the 7th lieutenant from 2003 until 2007. In fact, he became the first African-American elected to statewide service in Maryland.

Michael and Andrea Are Married For Over Three Decades 

Yes, you have read that correctly. As we all know, a successful marriage is about special memories of togetherness, and a promise to never give up on each other. In the same way, the long term duo Michael and Andrea Steele have marked their 35 years of togetherness in early 2020 after so many ups and downs.

The lovebirds first met while studying at the John Hopkins University in Baltimore around the late 1970s. During that time, the two realized that something extra special existed between them. After a few years of love romance and following their graduation, they dedicated to enhancing their relationship into the next door.

Finally, Andrea and Michael tied the wedding knot on 12th October 1985 and are still together since their wedding. So far, there is no news regarding their extramarital affairs on the media. They are regarded as one of the happiest couples in the United States.

Moreover, the duo is very involved in political activities and appear together in numerous projects of community service. Back on October 6, 2005, they attended the Catholic Charities Event.

Parents Of Three Children

As of now, Michael and Andrea are enjoying their parenthood of three grown-up kids. From their three-decade of their married life, Lieutenant Governor and his long term wife Andrea have three children named Michael II Steele, Drew Steele, and Ollie Steele.

Their first son named Michael was born in 1988. Similarly, their second child, a son, Drew was born in 1991. But their youngest daughter Ollie's birthdate remains private. Now, the family of four resides in Maryland.

Well, Steele, aged 69, is a deeply religious so they regularly attend the Sunday services at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Landover Hills. Further, he raised his children in a strict and disciplined environment. So all of them are living a very low key life.

Michael Is Now Associated With MSNBC

After losing his chairmanship of the Republican National Committee in 2011, Steele joined MSNBC as a regular political analyst. Further, he works for the online magazine The Root as a columnist. 

On his appearance on political talk shows, Michael has been critical of President Donald Trump and his administration. Michael was openly carping Trump during his 2016 presidential campaign. Also, in an interview of 2018, he expressed his belief that the President was racist because of his referral to El Salvador and Haiti as Shithole countries.

Steele was appointed a Faculty Fellow at the Watson Institute for International and Public Affairs at Brown University in 2018 as a leadership seminar. He joined the Lincoln Project PAC in August 2020, supporting Joe Biden as president.

On the other hand, Andrew is also a regular contributor to the Huffington Post. She has also appeared on television and radio to discuss campaigns, current events, and politics, including Al Jazeera America and MSNBC. More, she was a Human Rights Watch director.
