When Dusty Rhodes was in his 60's, he started facing kidney-related issues, which ended up with Kidney failure. Unfortunately, paramedics informed Dusty's home on 10th June 2015 in Florida after a call saying Dusty had fallen. 

They immediately took him to the hospital, where he passed away the following day at the age of 69. Rhodes was cremated after his death. Dusty's ashes were spread by his son at his favorite ranch.

Following his death, a ten-bell salute was given via the 2015 Money in the Bank pay-per-view event. The salute was provided by the whole WWE roster and the McMahon family.
