Sandra Runnels and her Relationship with Dusty Rhodes

Sandra met Dustin reportedly when they were both young, both growing up in Texas. Sandra married Dusty when he was just 20 years old in 1965. The couple was married for ten years and divorced in 1975.

Their union wasn't as successful as his marriage with his second wife, Michelle Rubio (Runnels). The young couple, however, shared the responsibility of two beautiful children.

Sandra's two children were her son Dustin Patrick Runnels and her daughter Kristin Runnels Ditto. Dustin was born on April 11, 1969, four years after their marriage. 

Similarly, their second kid, a daughter Kristin was born in 1973, two years before their divorce.

Her son Dustin walked in his father's footsteps as a professional wrestler and is known as "Goldust." Her daughter, however, would take a different path and is a former cheerleader for the Dallas Cowboys.

Dusty and Sandra's son Dustin was married to retired wrestling manager Terri Runnels with whom he also shared a daughter named Dakota Avery Runnels (b. 1994).

Dusty married the second time Michelle Rubio (Runnels). He met her in Tampa, Florida, when he was 30 years old, and Michelle was 19. 

The couple eventually started dating and dated for two years. They got married on August 17, 1978. Their reception was at a nightclub in Ybor City.

Dusty and Sandra also shared two kids from their marital union, a daughter, Teil Runnels, and a son named Cody Garrett Runnels (b. June 30, 1985).

 Cody is also a wrestler, better known by his ring name 'Cody Rhodes' or Stardust. Cody is married to his wife Brandi Rhodes, a wrestler. 

Brandi and Cody also have a daughter named Liberty Iris Runnels (b. June 2021). Dusty and Michelle were living a blissful marital life, but his tragic demise shattered the happiness.

The father of Sandra's kids, Dusty, died on June 11, 2015. He was rushed to the hospital by paramedics after receiving a call that he had fallen.

The wrestler had been battling kidney problems in the later stages of his life. This problem would eventually be the cause of his demise. He died at the age of 69 in Orlando, Florida.
