Who is Mike Jerrick?

Mike Jerrick is an American news anchor and a former co-host of the morning program The Morning Show with Mike and Juliet. He is well known for his appearance as a co-host of the show Good Day Philadelphia on WTFX. He is also known as the host on the show Fox & Friends on the Fox News Channel.

Mike Jerrick was born as Michael Eugene Joseph on 3rd July 1950, in Wichita, Kansas. Born to his American parents, Jerrick is of White ethnicity and holds American parents. In order to become a journalist, Mike studied at Kapaun Memorial High School and later joined the University of Kansas and received his degree in Journalism. 

The native from Wichita kicked-off his journalism career at Topeka's WIBW-TV located in Kansas. Due to his boyish looks and interesting personality, WNYM hired Mike and he shifted to New York. There he served as a host and a producer and then he moved to San Francisco's KPIX-TV. 

At the time of the mid 80s, Michael worked as a co-host on afternoon talk show titled Alive and Well for the USA network. Moreover, he also served for HBO's World Entertainment Report, and later moved to the Sci-Fi Channel's Sci-Fi Buzz.

He later hosted What's News on America's Talking, a short-lived cable news channel. After a short period of time, he began hosting for CNBC's America After Hours, and later shifted to WTXF as a host in the morning show. 

On 1st April 2015, Michael announced that about his candidacy for the Mayor of Philadelphia of 2015 election. The announcement was made on the show Good Day Philadelphia, as he received lots of text messages with love and support, but it was revealed only as an April Fool's joke. 

In Jan 2017, Michael was suspended for seven days by Fox29. On 23rd January 2017, Mike along with his co-host named Alex Holley and some guests began a discussion about Trump's advisor Kellyanne Conway's now infamous 'alternative facts' claim when he stated that she was good at bulls**t. Immediately, Holley said 'We're sorry for that,' and Mike also apologized. However, Jerrick was suspended by the management for a week because of using an offensive word on a live broadcast.

On 30th January, Jerrick returned to the show and apologized to the viewers and Holley as well.

Is Mike Jerrick Married?

Looking into his personal affairs, Mike was previously married to Joy Jerrick. However, there is no detail information about the ex-wife as well as the wedding date and venue. 

From their marriage, the married pair shares two children together, Jill Jerrick and Jessica Jerrick. Unfortunately, the couples marital relationship could not last long. Also, they were lacking mutual understanding which led them to divorce. Sadly, in 2009, Joy passed away.

After a few years, Mike met Shelda McDonald at the Grand Central Station. There it happened to be love at first for Mike and Shelda, as they eventually began dating each other. 

After dating for few years, the couple decided to step-up their relationship and got engaged in 2014.
