Her Journey to NBC's Spartans
Acosta grew up in a family that loves sports. Her father played basketball professionally for the Dominican Republic National team. She tagged alongside her father to games, and just like that, she fell in love with the sport.
Growing up, she played lots of sports and also started a cheerleading team for her dad's basketball team. After completing her education from Barry University, she joined WPLG-TV, an affiliate of ABC News. Not just that, she also became a NFL cheerleader for Miami Dolphins in the 2012/13 season.

With some reporting experience in her belt, Acosta joined Telemundo 20 to cover the NFL teams. She started working for Telemundo 20 from 2016, where she regularly did her reporting work for San Diego Chargers. In her two years of working for Telemundo, a NBC affiliate, she holds the spot as one of the best sportscasters.
She joins the list of reporters and correspondents like Newy Scruggs, Lindsay Czarniak, and Andrea Joyce, to name a few.
