Late Mountain Men star, Preston was born as Preston James Roberts on 17th July 1957, in Westfield, New Jersey, United States. Later, he moved to a small village in Brevard, North Carolina with his parents, Eston Eugene Harrington, Dorothy James Harrington.
Roberts grew up with his four beautiful siblings, Jennifer R. Bush, Jamie R. Lance, April R. Pearson, and Lori R. Holden. He had a strong sibling bond with his sisters because he encouraged them to become strong women as they are today.

Roberts' buddy, Eustace and the cast of Mountain Men raised $90,000 from his first donation campaign in his honor. Furthermore, they collected $100,000 donation for liver cancer patients on 17th August 2017. One month later, they again topped up $110,000 donations at their show's finale season.

Westfield, New Jersey native, Preston met his beloved wife, Kathleen DuPont McGuire in 1975. At that time, he was 17 years old teenager and fell in love with her after she took his hand in hers under the dining table. He instantly recognized that she meant to be for him.
In an interview, Robert gave credits of his successful career to his life partner, Kathleen. He also said, "behind every successful man, there is a support of a good woman." So, Kathleen was his first and last love till his peaceful demise.
The pair walked down the aisle in the same year that they met for the first time in 1975. Later, they found the bundle of joys after welcoming three children, Travis Lee Roberts, Joseph James Roberts, and James Preston in their life.
The Roberts family lived in a small log cabin apartment on the banks of the East Fork River. A few years later, they shifted to an old church house near Stone Mountain State Park in North Carolina. Since then, they resettled down in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
Preston Roberts' Death
Preston Roberts passed away at the age of 60 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center on 24th July 2017. According to his medical reports, the cause of his death was a liver failure as a result of cancer. Similarly, Leave It To Beaver actor, Frank Bank also died to cancer.
Roberts later died due to blood and oxygen obstruction after three weeks of diagnosis. Moreover, the crowd-funding page created by himself helped me to pay all his medical expenses.
After Roberts' demise, his family and friends buried him at Morning Watch Hill Cemetery in Boone, North Carolina. Also, they held a memorial service at 3 pm afternoon on Saturday, 29th July 2017 at Turtle Island Preserve Outdoor Education Center in Little Laurel Road, Boone.
