Earlier this year in February, Luke Thompson, a conservative podcast host, claimed that the representative AOC was paying Roberts to be a member of her staff and that Rep. AOC provided Roberts with a congressional email address. 

To prove this claim, he even tweeted a picture of Roberts's email to verify this claim. 

However, Rep. AOC quickly denied the claim and clarified that Roberts had been rightfully granted an official House email address to get access to her calendar. And the tweet made by Thompson was taken down by Twitter for violating its terms of service.

Roberts Has Always Been An Introvert:

According to a mutual friend of the couple, Alexandria was the one to drive the sessions of their Coffee & Conversations meetings, while Roberts always liked to keep quiet. He would always sit in the corner of the room, thinking through things and emitting the philosopher kind of energy.

On Vanity Fair, another friend of theirs, Raul Fernandez, said:

“I think people see how glamorous she is, but these were not two glamorous people...These were two awkward, supersmart, like-to-talk-about-issues kind of people that met through this super-wonky, nerdy thing."

Just like every parent, Rep. AOC's mom showed her support for Roberts through an interview with Daily Mail in 2019. Throughout the interview, she shared her enthusiasm about her wish for Roberts to be engaged to Rep. AOC. 

In the interview, she said, "I love him. He is the most loving, supporting person I've seen. He helped her tremendously during the election. They've been together for four years now after they reconnected from a college breakup. I know they love children, and they do very well with children from the family. So, I hope they get married soon."
