An American advocate, Robert Barnett was born on August 26, 1946, in Waukegan, Illinois, U.S. He is an American Lawyer also a partner at the law firm Williams and Connolly. 

He represents a large number of political writer including George W. Bush, James Carville, and Barack Obama also represents major corporate executives and television news correspondents. He was ranked The 100 most Influential Lawyers in America by The National Law.

Career as lawyer

Robert graduated from Waukegan High School and a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Later he graduated from the University of Chicago where he gained a law degree. Robert clerked for John Minor Wisdom in New Orleans after the school. 

He worked as a clerk from 1972 to 1973 with Supreme Court Justice Byron White. After that, he joined Williams & Connolly LLP in 1975 and partnership in 1978. Robert was hired to work on Jimmy Carter's presidential campaign in 1976. 

He also assisted presidential debate preparation from 1980 to 2012 election. He helped many presidents and vice president to prepped for their role. He auctioned Hillary Clinton's memoirs for $8 Million to Simon & Schuster in December 2000. 

He sold the re-issuance of Dreams From My Father, The Audacity of Hope and Change We Can Believe with Barack Obama in 2004.
