Prior to accepting Maragaret as the love of his life, Roger was married to Carol Rogge Angell. They got married back in 1964 in an intimate ceremony. However, their relationship ends on 10th April 2012 due to the death of Carol.

They remained married for forty-eight years until Rogge took her last breath at the age of seventy-three. The reason for her death was metastatic breast cancer. They have one son, John Henry Angell, who is fully grown up and is living in Portland, Oregon. 

Roger Angell's Both Daughters Died 

His first marriage was with Evelyn Angell. However, the exact date of their marriage and divorce is yet to reveal. Despite their separation, they had two beautiful daughters, Callie Angell and Alice Angell

Callie was the eldest daughter of Roger, who worked as an authority on the films of Andy Warhol. On 5th May 2010, she committed suicide. In 2014, he even mentioned her death in his essay, stating

the oceanic force and mystery of that event" – and his struggle to comprehend that "a beautiful daughter of mine, my oldest child, had ended her life.

Following that, his second daughter, Andy, also died on 2nd February 2019. She passed away of cancer in Portland, Maine.

Moreover, he is the stepson of the writer, E.B. White. Furthermore, he graduated from Pomfret School and later attended Harvard University. During World War II, he even served for United States Army Air Forces.
