Shiva Safai

The Iranian/American model, reality star, businesswoman, and fashion influencer Shiva Safai is inspiring women through fashion and beauty. Safai is also famous for her fleeting relationship with Mohamed Hadid.

The charismatic personality Shiva was born on August 26, 1980, in Iran. She was raised by her parents in Norway. Later, at the age of 19, she moved on to Los Angeles, USA, where she currently lives. 

Although Shiva shares pictures with her parents, detailed information regarding lacks. Shiva has two brothers, an entrepreneur, Shayan Safai (b. July 27, 1987), and a fitness instructor, Shahin Safai (b. March 6, 1989)

Shiva Safai's Husband

The 40-years-old Shiva is in a blissful marital relationship with Niels Houweling. Shiva's beloved husband Niels is a DJ and Music Producer. How and when Safai and Houweling met one another is unknown. But, as per their Instagram post, they began their romantic affair in May 2019.

Shiva exchanged her wedding vows with Neils in November 2020. The couple revealed the news of their big day via the social media post. They got married privately. So, detailed information regarding it lacks.  

Since the wedding day, the husband-wife duo is sharing a healthy bond as a perfect married partner. Mr. and Mrs. Houweling visits many exotic places, attend public events together. They also never miss a chance to flaunt pictures on their social networking accounts. 

Was Engaged To Mohamed Hadid

As mentioned above, Shiva is also recognized as the ex-love partner of Jordanian-American real estate developer Mohamed Hadid. Although their relationship was temporary, they received worldwide fame. In the interview with The Daily Dish, Safai revealed that she and Hadid first met at a restaurant in Beverly Hills. She also said, 

"It was almost love at first sight, I want to say, and it was that instant attraction. And we exchanged phone numbers and the rest is history."    

They dating in 2012. After having a romantic affair for two-years, Mohamed proposed to Shiva with an engagement ring during their vacation in Bali on 2014's New Year's Eve. She also merrily accepted his surprise proposal. 

Mohamed and Shiva have also made their appearance in the E! reality series Second Wives Club. Everything was going fine, the formerly engaged pair was living happily. However, in 2018, the couple partitioned their relationship.

It is reported that Shiva wanted to have a baby with Mohamed. On the other hand, Mohamed, already a father to five (including; Gigi Hadid, Bella Hadid, and Anwar Hadid), did not want to extend his offspring, which lead them to separate their romantic relationship. 

The hard time on Mohamed and Shiva's relationship arises after a model Miranda Vee publicly accused Mohamed of sexually abusing her. But, Hadid strongly declined the accusations.

The 5-feet-5-inch (165 cm) tall Shiva has a net worth of around $10 million. The primary source of earning for Safai is from her modeling contract with fashion brands, appearing in advertisements, etc. 

Safai has done a cover shoot for fashion, lifestyle magazines, such as Hello! Basic Magazine, Bazaar, Modeliste, FDM Magazine, VOGUE, etc. From the modeling deals, Safari might be earning an impressive sum of wealth.

Likewise, Safai is also an entrepreneur. She has launched a new Jewelry line in collaboration with Noush Jewelry. As per Shiva, "During one of my travels to the Middle East, I saw an ancient coin that was so beautiful and unique that inspired me to create a jewelry collection around ancient coins but with my own modern twist."
