Caleb was admitted to the Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago where his MRI revealed that he suffered a brain tumor of the size of an orange. The neurosurgeon also disclosed that the tumor was rare but treatable.  Like Caleb, Slade Smiley's son Grayson Smiley also diagnosed with brain tumors at the age of 6.

As of now, Caleb is doing well and living a healthy life with his caring and beloved parents. The Hendricks family of 3 currently resides in Pennsylvania.
