The story was about the time Kitsch went to the Philippines to work on the film Savages. Yahoo! has mentioned that he was flying from Japan and was forced to go back because they couldn't find enough pages to stamp on his passport. He had to explain who he is to get out of it.

Turns out, it was discovered later that The Terminal List actor had never been to the Philippines and instead the story was from Indonesia. His story gave a bad image to the whole of the country as in the story he also mentioned how everyone was smoking there. So, the authorities demanded a formal apology from the actor for this mistake.
