Thomas Sadoski

Thomas Sadoski (born on July 1, 1976) is famously known as the 'Newsroom' star and star of 'Life In Pieces'. He is an American stage, film, and television actor born in New Haven, Connecticut.

With English, Swedish, and Polish descent from his father's side, and Italian and German descent from his mother's side, the roots of Sadoski go further than just diverse. The full name given to him on birth is Thomas Christian Sadoski. 

Early Life & Education

The parents of Sadoski are Mark Sadoski and Carol Sadoski. Even though he was born in New Haven, he was brought up in College Station, Texas.  

According to sources, Sadoski dropped out of college after taking one semester at the University of North Texas in Denton. But later, he joined Circle in the Square Theatre School in New York and graduated in 1998.  

Then, Sadoski started his career with his appearance in 'This Is Our Youth' at the Second Stage Theatre under the American actor and producer, Mark Ruffalo.

Thomas Sadoski is happily married to the Mean Girls star Amanda Seyfried. It's nearly impossible to not notice this couple after their gorgeous Met Gala appearance.

The pair co-starred in a couple of shows and movies together. After sharing a couple of works, they fell for each other. In early 2016, they both started seeing each other. And after just six months of dating, the couple got engaged on September 12, 2016. 

The couple exchanged rings on the 12th of March, 2017. Nobody then would have expected the onscreen couple to come to share a home in the future. 

The couple got secretly married with just the two of them in Topanga. Furthermore, when Sadoski married Seyfried, she was already nine months pregnant with their first child. Unlike other Hollywood weddings, their wedding was anything but extravagant.  
There was no wedding reception and they rather had brunch at a local restaurant Cheebo in Los Angeles. It happened because Seyfried wanted to go to Cheebo. After the ceremony, she revealed that:

Film Set Turned Into The Love Stage

The romantic couple Sadoski and Amanda first met while starring in The Way We Get By in 2015. They portrayed the characters of two strangers who met at a wedding reception and had a one-night stand. 

The co-stars were reunited on the set of The Last Words. The couple who had a platonic relationship happened to develop romantic feelings toward each other throughout the shoot. Feeling the tension between the two of them, they started dating. And they eventually ended up getting married.

Failed Marriage: Divorce With Kimberly Hope

Before Sadoski was ever involved with Seyfried, he was married to Kimberly Hope. The first marriage of Sadoski made headlines after getting divorced from Hope after eight years of marriage.  

Kimberly Hope is a studio casting executive and an actress. Thomas and Hope met on the set of a movie they were working on, back in 2005. While working with each other, the pair fell in love and started going out. After dating for two years, they eventually ended up getting married in 2007.  

There had been no news of both of them ever getting involved in any other serious relationship before each other. And they were known as one of the most beautiful and down-to-earth Hollywood couples. Nonetheless, the marriage did not last and the couple got divorced after eight years of being together in the fall of 2015. 

From what we've found, there had been announcements of their plan to start a family. It's a shame that they bought an estate near the ocean for that purpose and for a marriage that was about to break.

Father To Two 

Thomas Sadoski shares two children with Amanda Seyfried. They both are parents to their lovely daughter, Nina Sadoski Seyfried, and son Thomas Sadoski Seyfried.  

In the interview with People's magazine, Seyfried said that she wanted more children between three to five children.

The couple welcomed their first child, Nina in March 2017. Seyfried revealed in the interview with People that this pregnancy was unplanned and it just happened for them. She added, "If it happens to you, you just make it work."

Seyfried and Sadoski announced the arrival of their second child, Thomas in September 2020, through an Instagram post with INARA and War Child USA with the caption: 

“Since the birth of our daughter 3 years ago our commitment to the innocent children that are so brutally affected by conflict and war has been a driving force in our lives. With the birth of our son, the work of INARA and War Child has become our North Star.”  

The couple decided to name the baby the same as his father. Though the family of four is happy now, Sadoski's wife Seyfried was not sure about having a second child at the time. She felt that it was all just complicated. But she soon got over it and decided to have the baby. 

Broadway Career

The most recent play performed by Sadoski was White Noise from the Suzan-Lori Parks play in the Public Theater production.

Sadoski’s Broadway credits include Reasons to be pretty by Neil LaBute, Other Desert Cities, The House of Blue Leaves with Ben Stiller and Edie Falco, and Reckless, his Broadway debut opposite Mary-Louise Parker. 

Television Career

Sadoski made his film debut with his appearance in the Loser in 2000. And the most recent role of Sadoski is Matt Short in Life In Pieces from 2015 to 2019. After his debut, he was provided with lots of opportunities to work in numerous other roles.

In 2007, Sadoski starred in the soap opera As the World Turns as Jesse Calhoun. Then, he made his most remarkable work by starring as Don Keefer on the television series The Newsroom from 2012 to 2014. And in 2015, he starred as Gary in the series The Slap. 

Achievements 

Sadoski has done pretty well in his career. Not only did he appear in numerous plays and television shows, but he was also able to win some awards and be nominated as well.

Sadoski won an Obie Award for the Other Desert Cities; a play by Jon Robin Baitz. He also won a Lucille Lortel Award for Becky Shaw. Off-Broadway "Reasons To Be Pretty" in which he appeared in 2008, which was later moved to Broadway in April 2009, won three Tony Awards nominations as well as Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, and Drama League Award nominations. He was also nominated for being the best actor in that same play.

The one-man show, Santaland Diaries which he performed at New Haven’s Long Wharf Theater, was also performed for two consecutive seasons due to its popular demand. Furthermore, Sadoski has starred in five productions at the renowned Williamstown Theater Festival.
