Tom Brokaw

Tom Brokaw is a famous TV Journalist. He is also the author of the three infamous books; The Greatest Generation, The Greatest Generation Speaks, and An Album of Memories.

Brokaw was born on February 6, 1940, in Webster, South Dakota, U.S.A., where another journalist Katy Blakey was born. He was the anchor and managing editor for NBC. Born to his American parents, he is of White ethnicity and holds an American nationality.

Married to Former Miss Dakota 

Tom Brokaw is in a relationship with Meredith Lynn Auld, who is Miss Dakota 1959. The pair tied their life knot in the year 1962. The couple shared their 57th Anniversary in 2019. Not only a Miss Dakota, but Meredith is also an author. 

The couple currently has three daughters, Jennifer, Andrea, and Sara. Since their marriage, Tom, along with his wife and children, are living happily together. The family spends most of their time at rtheir ranch in Montana.

Tom was diagnosed with multiple myeloma

On 6th September 2012, the famous journalist was hospitalized after his show Morning Joe on MSNBC. Following the incident, Brokaw tweeted that he is fine and said the illness occurred after he accidentally took a half dose of Ambien. 

The following year, Brokaw was diagnosed with multiple myeloma at the Mayo Clinic. However, he has managed to progress in a right way, which has surprised his doctors. On 21st December 2014, Tom revealed that his cancer is in full remission. 

The famous journalist was accused of sexual harassment

In 2018, Tom was accused of harrasing three women sexually, one in 1968, and the rest in 1990. Following the accusation, Brokaw defended himself, saying that the accusations are false. 

Furthermore, Tom's friends and co-workers, including Andrea Mitchell, Rachel Maddow, Kelly O' Donnell, and 64 others, signed a letter citing Brokaw as a man of tremendous decency and integrity.
