His father, William was a statistician before becoming a professor at Antioch College and his mother, Yvonne worked as a professor at Prince George's Community College. Further, he has two siblings, an older sister Felicia Chappelle, born on May 8, 1968, and a younger brother Dave, born on August 24, 1973.
